Happy Valentines Day

As we celebrate Valentine's Day with our loved ones, let us remember February 14th can be more than a day of giving roses and chocolates.
"God of power and might, thank you for the gift of love this Valentine's Day and for all the people whose love shines in my life. May I always look to Your love as an example. Continue to fill my heart with Your love, and let me share that love with all my brothers and sisters, this Valentine's Day and always. Amen."
May God's love shine through you today and always.
Valentine's Day is a day we can share God's love with friends, family, and those who we may find more difficult to love. As Matthew 5:46 says, 'If you love only those who love you, what have you accomplished?' God wants us to love! He is the perfect example of how we should love and the only cornerstone on which we can build a healthy and lasting relationship.

Michigan Rep. Jeff Irwin and Senator Rebekah Warren will be introducing the Second Parent Adoption bill this session. It is the same bill that was introduced by Rep. Smith last session. A press conference about this bill will be held on Monday, Feb. 14 in Ann Arbor at 2:30 PM. The exact location is still being finalized.
We need a couple of families who either have successfully had a second a parent adoption or who would like to see this law changed to allow for second parent adoption, to attend the press conference.
There will be an opportunity for 1-2 families to share their story with the media and we will take as many people as would like to be there to stand next to Rep. Irwin and Sen. Warren during the Press Conference.
Anyone interested in participating or with questions should email- Lonnie Scott, Lscott@house.mi.gov or call 517-373-2577, as soon as possible.

As many of you are aware we are in a blizzard advisory. In light of this Bible Study is cancelled for both Tuesday and Wednesday night. It is important that we stay off the roads as much as possible for our safety. This will also allow the snow removal and emergency teams the room to do their work. Stay home….stay warm….stay safe.
Hope to see you all at the anniversary celebration this weekend.
